The Northern Ohio Amateur Radio Society is one of the oldest radio clubs in the Great Lakes area, having been formed in 1958 or 1959, and receiving official status in 1963. Our membership comes primarily from the Northern Ohio area. The Northern Ohio Amateur Radio Society has been an American Radio Relay League-affiliated radio club since January 1972. We provide public service, education, and furtherance of the Amateur Radio hobby.

Club Activities:  Public service, contesting (HF SSB, CW, RTTY, VHF/UHF all modes), C4FM repeaters,  Packet Radio, HF and VHF operating, DX’ing, satellite operating, technical programs at meetings, and ham radio computing. Field Day and an annual meeting/picnic.

Dues:  Our annual dues are $15.00 US for Regular membership.  We also offer an Associate membership ($7) for those who are not yet licensed and a Family membership ($4) for licensed hams living in the same household as a Regular member.  Join.
