Sylvia Drake, KC8TMZ, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2011 after a long and courageous battle with cancer and its complications.

(Theresa) of Colonial Heights, Virginia; grandson, Mark Wright (Cassandra); and a great-granddaughter, Anna Wright; additional survivors include six sisters, Mary Carder (Randall) of Elyria, Icie Ellen Meadows of Elkins, West Virginia, Crystal Hesman, Louetta Baylor, Beverly Pyles, Loletta Delashmit, all of West Virginia; and brothers, Arthur Strawderman of Pennsylvania and Orville Strawderman of West Virginia.  Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Icie (nee Strawderman) Grimm.

Sylvia was our Sunshine Lady who represented NOARS when others were sick and/or hospitalized.  She always had a smile on her face and was so sweet and gracious, even while she was dealing with her challenges.  We will always remember her, especially at Field Day, for her "homemade" sausage gravy which she bought at GFS.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her and our condolences to Harold and the family.
