ERNEST E. SCHERBAN, W8AJZ:  Beloved husband of Patsy (nee Warner); father of Kenneth (LeEtta) of Wichita, KS, Susan Crabtree (Clark) of Sheffield Lake, OH and the late Teresa Scheiwe (Kent); grandfather of 9; brother of Louis Scherban. U.S. Army Air Corp WW II veteran and member of American Legion Post 451. Ernie was a member of the Northern Ohio Amateur Radio Society.  We will miss seeing him at the hamfests and hearing his occasional checkin to our nets.  73 Ernie.  You will be missed.

Ernie Scherban was my dad. He was a great and loving father, a WWII veteran, loved fishing, boating and all of his family and his favorite hobby was Ham Radio. He was always so excited for the next Hamfest and to be able to talk with his radio buddies. Dad was studying for his class A license at the age of 85. He was very dedicated to his Ham radio. I know he is going to miss you all very much. A special thanks to Tom Porter and Carl for all they have done for my dad. Rest in peace Daddy. We love you and miss you so very much!
